RODGERS ON CELTIC 'MINDSET', 'REMARKABLE' FORREST & DUNDEE
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been talking to the media before his side's Scottish Premiership trip to Dundee on Sunday.
Here are the best bits from his press conference:
- Says last weekend’s performance against Aberdeen wasn’t up to the levels he would have liked, but was pleased with the “nerve and mindset” his players showed to reach the final.
- At this time of the season, Rodgers thinks it becomes more about mental strength - something he says Celtic players are used to.
- Says he’s never had any issues with the playing surface at Dens Park and isn’t expecting any on Saturday.
- Full of praise for “remarkable professional” James Forrest, and how he has stayed at a high level for so long.
- Thinks Tony Docherty has done a “brilliant” job at Dundee this season, and says Celtic have to be “focused” in order to take the three points.
- Daizen Maeda has “responded so well” to injury treatment, and Rodgers is hopeful the Japanese winger will feature before the end of the season.
